NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State University women’s basketball program hosted the second annual Jessica Kern Foundation Elite Camp Saturday in the Gentry Center.
The camp welcomed nearly 50 participants to the all-day event. The day began with registration before activities kicked-off at 9 a.m.
Instructed by Lady Tiger basketball coaches and players, the campers worked on individual skills such as shooting, ball-handling, passing, rounding and defense.
After lunch, the camp continued with more skill-work and competitions.
“The turnout was phenomenal,” said head coach Jessica Kern. “We were very intentional about having an elite level of student-athletes here and we got that. We had kids from Texas, we had kids from Wisconsin... So we’re very very grateful for everyone that showed up today.”
