Tia Wooten Earns a Spot in the TSU Record Books

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University women’s basketball standout Tia Wooten earned a spot in the Lady Tiger record book after a dominating offensive performance during the 2017-18 season.

Wooten moved into 4th among TSU’s all-time leaders for total points in a single season with a total of 573. She is also now tied for 6th for most points per game in a single season with 21.2 ppg.

After combining for 262 points in the first 54 games of her career, Wooten posted 573 points in just one season (27 games). She now has a career total of 835 points and is 165 shy of the 1,000-point mark.

Wooten’s 573-point performance is the first time a Lady Tiger has scored at least 500 points in a single season since the 2008-09 campaign.
