Tennessee State continues OVC action on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Jacksonville State. Game time is set for 2 p.m. in Pete Mathews Coliseum. The game will serve as the Gamecocks' the Play for Kay Pink Game.
THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
Tennessee State (9-13, 4-8 OVC) has dropped two straight and is most recently coming off a 72-59 loss to Tennessee Tech in the Gentry Center. TSU has fallen out of tournament contention and currently sits in 10th place in the league standings.
The Lady Tigers are averaging 64.2 points per contest while shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from three-point range. TSU is only shooting 63.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Tennessee State went cold in the third quarter and only managed to score seven points in the frame in a disappointing home loss to Tennessee Tech, 72-59, on Wednesday. TSU had a 33-32 lead at the break but was outscored, 40-26, in the second half. Olivia Jones finished the game with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Jayda Johnson scored 10. TSU shot 1-of-11 (9.1 %) from three-point range and 14-of-27 (51.9 %) from the free-throw line.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
JSU (10-14, 3-9 OVC) is coming off a, 61-52, loss to OVC leader Belmont on Wednesday. The Gamecocks have dropped their last three and are led in scoring by Briana Benson’s 12.0 ppg while Tyler Phelion (10.4 ppg) and Lacey Buchanon (10.2 ppg) round out the team’s top scorers. As a team the Gamecocks average 64.0 ppg while shooting 39.2 percent from the field. JSU makes 5.8 three-pointers per game while shooting .308 from beyond the arc.
TSU will match up with Jacksonville State for the 32nd time in the series history with the Lady Tigers holding a slight, 16-15 advantage. TSU claimed the first meeting of the season, 64-51, in the Gentry Center.
