GAMEDAY
The Tennessee State University women’s basketball team will play the final contest of a three-game homestand on Wednesday against Morehead State. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. in the Gentry Center.    

THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
Tennessee State (6-7, 1-2 OVC) picked up its first OVC win of the season after defeating UT Martin, 85-80, in overtime Saturday night. The 85 points was the second-most points TSU has posted this season. The victory also snapped a two-game skid. 

The Lady Tigers are averaging 65.8 points per contest while shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from three-point range. TSU is only shooting 63.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Jayda Johnson leads the team in scoring with 13.1 points per game while Olivia Jones (12.6 ppg) and I’mani Davis (11.9 ppg) also average double-digits for the Lady Tigers. Jones and Davis are also the team’s leading rebounders.

The Lady Tigers are led by fifth year head coach and Hall of Famer, Larry Joe Inman 

LAST TIME OUT
TSU had an impressive team win over UT Martin Saturday night. The Lady Tigers defeated the Skyhawks, 85-80, in overtime after erasing a 14-point fourth quarter deficit. Tia Wooten led TSU with a career-high 21 points while I’mani Davis and Kaliya Griffin each tallied 20 points. Jayda Johnson finished the game with a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Morehead State is off to a fast start with an overall record of 14-3 and a 4-0 league mark. MSU has defeated Austin Peay, UT Martin, Eastern Illinois and most recently SIUE. The Eagles have won nine straight and are 5-2 on the road this season. MSU is averaging 71.9 points per game while shooting 41 percent from the field and 29 percent from three-point range. Brianna McQueen (11.9), Eriel McKee (11.6) and Miranda Crockett (10.7) lead the team in scoring. 

SERIES INFORMATION
TSU will match up with Morehead State for the 57th time in the series history with MSU holding a 30-26 advantage. The Lady Tigers claimed both meetings last season.
