GAMEDAY
The Tennessee State University women’s basketball team will play the second contest of a three-game homestand on Saturday against UT Martin. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. in the Gentry Center.    

THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
Tennessee State (5-7, 0-2 OVC) has dropped two straight contests and is most recently coming off a, 75-67, loss at home to Southeast Missouri on Thursday. It was TSU’s first home loss of the season. 

The Lady Tigers are averaging 64.2 points per contest while shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from three-point range. TSU is only shooting 62.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Olivia Jones leads the team in scoring with 14.7 points per game while Jayda Johnson (13.0 ppg) and I’mani Davis (11.0 ppg) also average double-digits for the Lady Tigers. Jones and Davis are also the team’s leading rebounders.

The Lady Tigers are led by fifth year head coach and Hall of Famer, Larry Joe Inman.

LAST TIME OUT
TSU dropped its second straight game after suffering a 75-67 loss to Southeast Missouri Thursday night in the Gentry Center. The Lady Tigers were outscored, 29-19, in the fourth quarter and shot 38.7 from the field in the game. TSU also had 16 turnovers in the contest. Diamond Beatty had 17 points for TSU while Olivia Jones notched 16. Kaliya Griffin finished with 10.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
UT Martin  (4-12, 1-2 OVC) opened league play with a win over Jacksonville State but has since dropped two OVC contests to Morehead State and most recently, Belmont. The Skyhawks fell to the Bruins, 71-66, in the Curb Event Center. Four players average double digits for UTM: Myah Taylor (14.7 ppg), Emany Robertson (14.3 ppg), Janekia Mason (12.7 ppg) and Ansley Eubank (12.7). As a team, the Skyhawks average 76.0 points per outing.

SERIES INFORMATION
TSU will match up with UT Martin for the 61st time in the series history with the Skyhawks holding a 31-29 advantage. UTM claimed last year’s meeting, 77-50, in the Elam Center.
