NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State Forward Olivia Jones has been named Madness Ohio Valley Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her exceptional performance during the past week’s action.
Jones earned MVP honors at the Hatter Classic in DeLand, Fla. after averaging 17.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in two games last week.
In the win over Bethune Cookman, Jones turned in a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. She also had three steals in the contest.
The Lady Tigers trailed by double-digits against Stetson but rallied from behind to claim the win. Jones was an integral part of that comeback. She tallied 17 points, eight rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes of action.
