Tennessee State University senior Jayda Johnson scored her 1,000th career point Sunday afternoon against Wisconsin during the Lady Rebel Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Johnson went into the game needing two points to become the 17th Lady Tiger to score at least 1,000 points in her career.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native posted 23 points against the Badgers and now has a total 1,021 career points.
She currently ranks 14th among TSU’s all-time leading scorers.
Johnson is leading the team in scoring with 16.0 ppg while averaging 4.4 rpg. The 6-0, Forward has scored in double-digits in all but one game this season.
