NASHVILLE --- Former Tennessee State University women’s basketball players returned to campus on Friday to be recognized and honored by the current team and coaches.
The Lady Tiger alumni were welcomed back to campus to meet the 2015-16 players and coaches, enjoy breakfast, learn about the new Fast Break Club and tour the newly renovated locker room.
Senior Brianna Lawrence, assistant coach Chelsia Lymon, head coach Larry Inman as well as Director of Athletics Teresa Phillips addressed the crowd during the event.
Following breakfast, the team, former players and other guests interacted with each other while sharing stories and laughs.
“I thought today was a great affair,” commented head coach Larry Inman. “It was great to see everyone that was there and we’re hoping to get even more in attendance next time. We wanted an opportunity to recognize and acknowledge our alumni and hopefully have them become more of an integral part of what we’re doing with our women’s basketball program. It’s just great when we can get everybody together and acknowledge them.”
The Lady Tigers kick-off the 2015-16 season on Nov. 13 at Indiana in the first round of the preseason WNIT.
