Nashville, Tenn. --- Redshirt senior Chelsea Hudson was named to the 2015 All-OVC Second Team by the league head coaches and sports information directors.
The 6-0 Forward is leading the Lady Tigers in scoring and rebounding with 14.3 points and 7.8 boards per outing. She ranks third in the league in offensive rebounding, 5th in overall rebounding, 10th in scoring and 12th in blocks.
She has scored in double-figures 22 times and has eight double-doubles on the season. She reached the 1,000th career-point milestone this year and now ranks 10th among TSU’s all-time leading scorers. She is also ranked sixth in career rebounds.
Hudson can add this award to the number of accomplishments she has made on and off the court as a Lady Tiger. In addition to her contributions to the basketball program the Midland, Texas native has a number of academic achievements.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science, May 2013 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Elementary Education. She is expected to complete her studies in December 2015.
As a graduate student, Hudson has made the Dean’s List three times while recently garnering President’s List honors with a 4.0 GPA.
The award is Hudson’s second consecutive as she was named to the All-OVC second team last season.
