Nashville, Tenn. – On Tuesday the Tennessee State women’s basketball coaching staff concluded the first Head Coach Larry Inman summer camp for young girls around the Nashville area.
During the two-day event, 30 girls ages 6-15 improved their basketball skills by completing drills and receiving instruction from the TSU women’s basketball coaching staff.
The kids started by breaking into groups and going to different stations on each of the Gentry Center’s three courts to work on shooting, passing, dribbling and defense.
Coaches stressed a multitude of skills including proper free-throw shooting form, left-handed dribbling, post-up moves, bounce passing and on-ball defensive technique.
The girls scrimmaged each other towards the end of the day and the three-hour session concluded with every camper receiving a personalized certificate.
Head Coach Larry Inman closed the camp by calling everyone to huddle up and shout “TSU Tigers” in unison.
