Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University women's basketball program will host the 2011 Tracee Wells Basketball Camps beginning with the Team Play-Day on Saturday, June 11, inside the Gentry Center.
The individual camp is scheduled to start on Monday, June 13, and will end Friday, June 17.
"We're excited about our upcoming camps," said head coach Tracee Wells. "This will actually be the first year that we will put on a full day camp and we're looking forward to it. We've got a lot of excited young girls who are eager to attend and we are expecting a great turnout."
The Team Play-Day will feature six high school and AAU teams from the middle Tennessee area and will open with the first game slated to tip-off at 9 a.m.
Each team will play three games consisting of two 20-minute halves. There will be a running clock with the exception of the last two minutes of each half. Each team will receive two timeouts per half game with TSSAA certified referees on hand to officiate the games.
"The team camp is always a good one for teams to get in a few games before the summer ends to work out the kinks and prepare for their upcoming seasons."
The games are free and open to the public.
