The Tennessee State University women's basketball team will return to action on Tuesday against SIU-Edwardsville. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. at the Vadalabene Center.
LADY TIGER REVIEW
The Lady Tigers went 1-1 last week on the road, defeating Murray State on Thursday and falling to UT Martin on Saturday.
Foster matched a season-high 16 points against Murray State before posting 13 versus UT Martin. Freshman Alana Morris posted 10 points vs. Murray State and turned in 11 rebounds, seven assists, six points, two blocks and one steal at UT Martin. Jasmin Shuler posted a season-best 17 points versus the Skyhawks.

Tennessee State is averaging 55.9 points per game while allowing opponents to score an average of 66.3 ppg. TSU is shooting 35.1 percent from the field, including 28.3 percent from three-point range. Meredith Stafford (10.9 ppg) is the team's leading scorer while Simone Hopes (5.6 rpg) leads the team in rebounding. Tayla Foster (8.7 ppg), Simone Hopes (6.2 ppg) and Jasmin Shuler (6.2 ppg) round out the top scorers for the Lady Tigers and Alana Morris pulls down 5.5 rebounds per game.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT: SIU-EDWARDSVILLE (3-12)
SIU-Edwardsville is coming off a 57-53 win over South Dakota on Sunday. The Cougars had lost eight straight before picking up their third win of the season against SD.
SIUE is averaging 59.4 points per game while shooting 35.8 percent from the field. The Cougars are shooting 29.5 percent from three-point range and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Jazmine Hill is the team's leading scorer with 13.0 ppg while Raven Berry averages 10.8 points and a team-best 7.5 rebounds per outing.
Tuesday will mark the first meeting between Tennessee State and SIU-Edwardsville.
