After a four-game road stint, the Tennessee State University women's basketball team will return to the Gentry Center to host Austin Peay State University on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m, as the Lady Tigers will play the second-game of Saturday's double-header. All fans are encouraged to wear white to the game.
LADY TIGER REVIEW
The Lady Tigers have dropped two straight contests, including their most recent loss to SIU-Edwardsville on the road Tuesday night.
Avery Jones nearly recorded a double-double at SIUE with 16 points and nine rebounds. Meredith Stafford came off the bench to post 11 for TSU.
The Lady Tigers shot 45.3 percent from the field but struggled from beyond the arc, only nailing 22.2 percent of their long range attempts.
TSU BY THE NUMBERS
Tennessee State is averaging 56.1 points per game while allowing opponents to score an average of 66.5 ppg. TSU is shooting 35.7 percent from the field, including 29.7 percent from three-point range. The Lady Tigers are shooting 71.5 percent from the free-throw line and average 20.3 turnovers, 11.0 assists, 7.2 steals and 2.3 blocks per outing.

Meredith Stafford (11.0 ppg) is the team's leading scorer while Simone Hopes and Alana Morris lead the team in rebounding with 5.4 rpg. Tayla Foster (8.5 ppg), Simone Hopes (6.1 ppg) and Jasmin Shuler (6.0 ppg) round out the top scorers for the Lady Tigers.

Austin Peay is coming off a 71-55 win at Murray State. The Lady Govs had lost four straight before the victory over the Racers.
APSU is led in scoring by Whitney Hanley (13.2 ppg) and Jasmine Rayner (9.4 ppg). Rayner is also leading the team in rebounding with 7.9 rpg.
As a team, Austin Peay is averaging 59.1 points per outing while allowing opponents to score 69.0 ppg. The Lady Govs are shooting .378 from the field, including .304 from three point range. APSU averages 20.5 turnovers, 12.3 assists and 7.3 steals per game.
Tennessee State and Austin Peay will meet for the 54th time with APSU leading the overall series, 30-23. Last season, each team picked up a win on their home floor. APSU claimed the first meeting, 77-66, in the Dunn Center before TSU defeated the Lady Govs 68-57 in the Gentry Center.
