Nashville, Tenn.--- Junior forward Obiageli Okafor was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Player of the week for her performance against Morehead State and Murray State.
Okafor averaged a double-double last week to help TSU go 2-0 in conference play. She recorded her 18th career double-double against Morehead with 20 points and 10 rebounds in addition to two steals. In TSU’s overtime win at Murray State, she notched her 19th career double-double with a career second best 31 points and 12 boards. She also had two steals in the contest.
Jacksonville State’s Jolie Efezokae and Tennessee Tech’s Kristina Tyler were also named Co-Players of the Week.
This is Okafor’s first Player of the Week honor.
