LADY TIGERS GET READY FOR HOME OPENER
NASHVILLE---The Tennessee State University women's basketball team will officially get a chance to play on its home court for the first time this season with OVC contests against Southeast Missouri and Eastern Illinois. Tennessee State opened the 2006-07 basketball season with a three game road stint that saw the Lady Tigers compete at Saint Louis University, Savannah State and Lipscomb. After dropping the first two games of the season, the Lady Tigers defeated Lipscomb 64-52 last Monday to snap a 30-game losing streak and claim the first win of the season. Tennessee State will face SEMO on Thursday, Dec.7, and will tip off against Eastern Illinois on Saturday, Dec. 9. Both game times are set for 5:30 p.m. in the Gentry Center.
