CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee State women's basketball team held a 13-point advantage early in the second half, but Austin Peay stormed back behind 72 percent field goal shooting in the second half to defeat the Lady Tigers 83-68. The Lady Tigers led 28-22 at halftime and opened a 37-24 lead following a layup by Leslie Dean at the 17:25 mark. The Tigers led 41-30 after a Dean jump shot at the 16:01 mark. However, APSU would go on a 16-0 run over the next six minutes to take the lead. After the Lady Tigers tied the game at 46-46. APSU would make a 13-3 run to build a double-digit lead at 59-49 at the 7:26 mark. The final margin of victory was the Lady Govs' biggest lead. Amber Bacon hit a pair of 3-pointer to start APSU's comeback and finished with a game-high 23 points. Ashley Haynes scored 20 points and had a game-high 15 rebounds. Leslie Dean led the Lady Tigers in scoring for the sixth straight game with 19 points. Freshman Obiageli came off the bench to score 18 points and Kendra Appling added 11 for the Lady Tigers.
