COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State women's team fell to host Tennessee Tech 72-45 in Ohio Valley Conference women's play Saturday night. The Lady Tigers trailed 36-24 at halftime, despite the performance of Dean. Dean connected on 6-of-7 shots from 3-point range and added a pair of free throws to account for 20 of the team's 24 points. The only player to score a field goal in the opening half other that Dean was Angela Vance. Dean did not add to her total in the second half. Freshman Obiageli Okafor came off the bench to score 11 points. The Lady Tigers shot 34 percent from the floor. Kendall Cavin led the Eaglettes with 16 points and Kritina Tyler scored 13. Tennessee State returns home to host Jacksonville State on Monday night in Ohio Valley Conference play.
