LADY TIGERS OFFENSE FAILS TO CLICK IN LOSS TO SOUTHEAST

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State scored a season-low 35 points and was held to 11 field goals as visiting Southeast Missouri rolled past the Lady Tigers 78-35 in Ohio Valley Conference women's play Thursday night. The Lady Tigers shot just 20 percent from the floor (11-of-54) while the visiting Redhawks were connecting on 51 percent (32-of-63). Southeast opened a 40-18 halftime lead and their final margin of victory was its largest lead of the game. Natalie Purcell led Southeast with 27 points, 17 coming in the first half. TSU freshmen Tiffany Jackson and Obiageli Okafor wach scored eight points. The Lady Tigers had 24 turnovers in the game.
