MURRAY, Ky. --- Tennessee State saw host Murray State post an early 10-0 run in the first half and later an 11-0 run to help build a commanding lead in handing the Lady Tigers a 96-46 loss Thursday night in Ohio Valley Conference women's play. The Lady Tigers trailed 48-17 at halftime and the Lady Racers continued to build upon their lead in the second half. MSU shot 47 percent (35-75) from the field while the Lady Tigers shot 35 percent (18-51). Freshman Obiageli Okafor had her eight double figure scoring game of the season with 14 points. Senior Leslie Dean came off the bench to scored 14. Jamika Banks had nine of the team's 31 total rebounds. Joi Scott led MSU with 21 points and 12 rebounds. TSU returns home to host Tennessee-Martin on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
