LADY TIGER KENDRA BAILEYNAMED SECOND TEAM ALL-OVC
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee State senior basketball player Kendra Bailey has been named to the 2005 Ohio Valley Conference second team as selected by the league's head coaches and sports information. The 5-11 post player from Cleveland, Ohio was a big reason that the Lady Tigers were the OVC's most improved team, posting an 8-8 record under interim head coach Tracee Jones. Bailey was by far the OVC's top offensive rebounder, averaging 4.29 per contest, almost two rebounds per game than the second place finisher in the category. Bailey was third overall in rebounding at 8.3 a game. She was 11th in scoring at 11.5 ppg and sixth in blocked with 1.0 bpg. The 2005 All-OVC team is comprised of five first-team and five second-team members. The team was announced at awards reception Thursday night in downtown Nashville.
