LADY TIGERS FALL SHORT AT UT MARTIN
NASHVILLE --- After trailing by 13 points at halftime, the Tennessee State Lady TIgers rallied to cut the deficit to one point at the 10-minute mark of the second half, but could never get over the hump in an eventual 82-70 loss to UT Martin Saturday. Zekeya Anderson's 3-point field goal with 10:01 remaining made the score 54-53, but UTM then answered with a 6-0 run. The Lady Tigers could not cut the margin to less than six points the remainder of the contest. Anderson came off the bench to lead the Skyhawks with a season-high 15 points. Sabrina Gordon added 12 and LaToya Clay added 10. TSU held a 47-31 rebounding advantage with Tristin Johnson pulling down a game-high 14 boards. The Lady Tigers will host Austin Peay (Jan. 18) in the Gentry Center.
