LADY TIGERS SEE VISITING WRIGHT STATE PULL AWAY DOWN STRETCH
NASHVILLE --- As has been the case several times this season for the Tennessee State women's basketball team, an opponent has been able to pull away down the stretch for a victory. This time around, it was Wright State who accomplished the feat in handing TSU an 84-68 defeat Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers trailed 33-30 and stayed close until the Raiders made an 11-2 run under the five minute mark to put the game out of reach. Junior Lady Tiger Latoya Clay had a career-high 30 points in the game and completed the double-double with 14 rebounds. Quanecia Fletcher added 12 points for TSU (2-14). Wright State (7-11) was led by Tiffany Webb's 29 points. The Lady Raiders held a 47-42 rebounding edge. Tennessee State plays at Eastern Illinois Saturday night.
