Eysha Ambler

Eysha Ambler joined the Tennessee State University staff in 2004 as the assistant volleyball coach. Since her arrival, Ambler has helped the Lady Tigers to two Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) titles and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.

Ambler's responsibilities also include recruiting, scouting, academic monitoring and team travel arrangements.

Ambler came to TSU after spending two seasons at OVC rival Jacksonville State University as a graduate assistant, where she was responsible for team travel, practices, game-day operations and the JSU volleyball camp.

Ambler played two years (1999, 2000) for the Gamecocks after transferring from Northwest-Shoals Community College, where she was a NJCAA Academic All-Region selection and helped the basketball team to the 1999 Alabama State Junior College Championship. She graduated as JSU's all-time single season leader for blocks per game, averaging 1.17. The former team captain finished her career ranked fourth (92) and seventh (72) in block assists in a single season and third in solo blocks (31) in a single season.

Most impressively, Ambler was the first three-sport letterman at Jacksonville State since 1985, also earning letters in basketball and track and field. She graduated from JSU with a B.A. in Business Management in 2001 and a B.S. in Business Education in 2004. She also coached four years with the Cheaha Junior Volleyball Club
