NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Tigers returned to the court for the sixth day of preseason practices.
After a week of training camp and two-a-day practices, the Tigers are just 11 days away from their season opener against Denver.
The first week on the court proved beneficial as the team's defensive and transitional work have shown massive growth. Three-on-six defensive drills created a fast paced environment requiring all-out effort from the defensive specialists/liberos. Both sides of the court fought hard for five sets. The teams of three went on to win four of the five sets.
Off the court, Coach Sutton has seen improvement in the team's camaraderie and communication after implementing team bonding activities into the camp schedule resulting in enhanced on-court performance.
The Tigers will continue with two-a-days throughout week two before competition in team scrimmages Friday and an alumni scrimmage on Saturday.
Junior libero, Mine Centinoz
