Senior libero, Cherlie Adorno-DeJesus

-On the first day of practice:

“I saw a lot of good things. The coaches were happy about our work. There was a lot of effort and energy. Overall, I think we came in with the right mentality as a team.”

-On the newcomers:

“They are willing to grow and give their effort. Today, they gave that extra mile, which is very important for the program and the team.”

-On being with the team again:

“I’m happy and excited. It’s my last year, so there are a lot of emotions going through my head, but for now I want to focus on my team, myself so that we grow both on and off the court.”

-On being with the team again:

“I’ve been waiting for this all summer. It’s been going really well. Today, we did a lot of things we didn’t think we could, and did them really well.”

On setting the tone for the rest of the season:

“Every practice we have to grow and push even harder. I think we set the tone, and as long as we stay on this path we will be very successful this season.”
