OPENING SERVE: The Tennessee State volleyball team will host Middle Tennessee in a mid-state match on Wednesday Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. in Kean Hall.

LAST TIME OUT: TSU (9-9) dropped a 3-1 match against Rice (11-7) this past Saturday. Cherlie Adorno-DeJesus was recognized by the conference for the second week in a row for her efforts last week garnering OVC Defensive Player of the Week as well as Newcomer of the Week. In conference only matches she leads the league in digs per set with 6.62.

Offensively, Payten Clark ranks 3rd overall in hitting percentage killing .320 of the attempts she gets. Chloe Watson is the team leader in kill with 223 kills. She has recorded double digit kills in 13 out of 18 matches. Senior Puamana Danielson has been in charge of distributing the ball for most of the season dishing out a total of 560 assists. Danielson has recorded five double-doubles on the season including 19 assists and 10 digs in the last match against Rice.

SCOUTING MTSU: MTSU volleyball team is 4-13 this season and 1-3 in C-USA. The Blue Raiders have lost three consecutive matches going into the game against the Tigers. Rega Coughlin leads MTSU offensively with 122 kills. Meg Irvin has 196 digs while Dela Gallagher paces the Blue Raiders with 31 total blocks.

ALL TIME VS MTSU: In the all-time series versus Middle Tennessee the Tigers are 1-32.

UP NEXT: The Tigers will travel to Kentucky for conference matches against Eastern Kentucky on Friday before facing Morehead State on Saturday.
