OPENING SERVE: The Tennessee State volleyball team will host Tennessee Tech in the first conference home game of the season. The match will begin Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. in Kean Hall.

LAST TIME OUT: TSU (7-8) dropped a 3-0 match against SIUE (9-4) this past Saturday. Cherlie Adorno-DeJesus was recognized by the conference for her efforts last week garnering OVC Defensive Player of the Week. In conference only matches she leads the league in digs per set with 6.67.

Offensively, Katora Roberts ranks fourth overall in hitting percentage killing .320 of the attempts she gets. Senior Puamana Danielson has been in charge of distributing the ball dishing out 456 assists. Danielson has recorded three double-doubles on the season including 31 assists and 10 digs in the last match against SIUE.

SCOUTING TENNESSE TECH: Tennessee Tech is 5-10 on the season with one conference win and one conference loss. The Golden Eagles fell 3-0 to Morehead State in their last match played. Shealene Little leads Tech in kills with 132 on the season. Kennedy Wade has 234 digs for the Golden Eagles.

ALL TIME VS TECH: In the all-time series versus Tennessee Tech the Tigers are 14-38. TSU beat Tech twice last season by scores of 3-1 and 3-2.

UP NEXT: The Tigers will host Jacksonville State in Kean Hall Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. for their second consecutive conference home game.
