BRENTWOOD, Tenn. --- Tennessee State’s Cherlie Adorno-DeJesus was named Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week. This is the junior’s first time winning the award. She also is the first TSU volleyball player this season to earn a player of the week award.
The junior libero leads the team defensively in the back with 205 digs on the season, averaging 4.02 digs per set. Through 15 games this season Adorno-DeJesus has lead the Tigers in digs in 10 of those matches.
The Tigers will begin a three game home stand with a home match against Tennessee Tech on Wednesday Sept. 28 in Kean Hall at 6 p.m.
