NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State volleyball team will face five different opponents on Saturday, April 9, at the Joan Cronan Volleyball Center at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville as part of the team’s non-traditional spring season.
Throughout the course of the day on Saturday, the Tigers will see how they stack up against Tennessee, North Alabama, Life University, UNC Asheville and East Tennessee State. Each match will be comprised of two sets.
Later on in the spring, the Tigers will play a tri-match at nearby Ensworth High School on April 16, squaring off with Ohio Valley Conference opponent Austin Peay, as well as Cumberland.
In the first action of the spring season, TSU defeated a pair of local rivals in Middle Tennessee and Trevecca Nazarene in a tri-match at home at Kean Hall on March 30. The Tigers took down MTSU by scores of 25-17, 25-22, and defeated Trevecca, 25-23, 27-25.
