Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State volleyball team will head to Louisiana for a three-game road trip to play a single match against Southern University on Thursday in Baton Rouge before traveling to New Orleans for two games on Friday.
Last Time Out
The Tigers are coming off a 3-0 win against Alabama A&M and are currently 3-5 on the season with a .375 win percentage.
Statistically speaking, TSU is lead by junior Chloe Watson. The outside hitter has collected 89 kills through 29 sets and averages 3.07 kills per set.

Chinasa Ekweariri who had recorded 67 kills through 35 sets, averaging 1.91 kills per set, leads Southern University. Diamond Williams leads the Jaguars defensively with 163 digs through just seven sets of play.
This will be the fourth time the two teams have met. The Tigers currently have a 1-2 record against the Jaguars.
The News on New Orleans
The Privateers are currently 6-5 on the season after dropping their last match 3-0 to Southern Miss.
New Orleans has lost two of its last three home games and had a 3-9 home record last season.
The team is led by Rondolyn Bryant, who has tallied 78 kills through 37 sets of play and a .242 hitting percentage.
Overall, the Privateers are hitting .179 as a team with 477 kills on the year.
The Tigers look to pick up their first program win against New Orleans, as the team has lost the last three times the teams have met.
