Nashville, Tenn. - Tennessee State junior setter Erika Moss has been announced as the adidas® OVC Setter of the Week. The sports information directors from each participating school voted on the award after the week of Aug. 20-27.
In the ISTAP Invitational, Moss tallied a total of 146 assists in four matches. She averaged 9.73 assists per set while also hitting a solid .375. Her strong work at setter allowed TSU to hit .245 as a team.
Moss had over 30 assists in three-of four matches including 49 assists in the match against Southeastern Louisiana. She also had four service aces and 39 digs over the course of the weekend.
The Player of the Week award was the second for Moss in her career, as the other came on Nov. 7, 2011.
The Tigers won three consecutive contests after dropping their first in the ISTAP Invitational in Montgomery, Ala.
TSU is hoping for a repeat performance from Moss and the rest of the team when they travel to Portland, Ore. for the Nike Portland Invitational.
