Nashville --- After having more than a week off the Tennessee State University volleyball team will return to action at Western Kentucky.
The Tigers will face Western Kentucky on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. in E. A. Diddle Arena.
Tennessee State is off to a 4-2 start in the young season. The Tigers are most recently coming off a 2-1 showing at the Bear Brawl hosted by Mercer. TSU opened the tournament with victories over Norfolk State (3-0) and Mercer (3-2) before falling to Troy (3-1) on Saturday.
Williams hit a scorching .455 and tallied 13 kills in the win over Norfolk State. She led the team with 18 kills, four digs and three service aces against Troy.
Walker posted two double-doubles in the tournament. She registered 14 kills and 19 digs versus Mercer before notching 12 kills and 11 digs against Troy.
Shaquita Williams leads the Tigers offensively with 3.59 kills per set. She is also hitting a team best .310 to go along with an OVC best 13 service aces. Terakka Walker averages a team second best 2.64 kills per set.
