Morehead, Ky. --- The Tennessee State University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Morehead State on the road Tuesday night in OVC action.

The set scores were 13-25, 23-25 and 24-26.

Tennessee State (8-16, 6-10 OVC) tallied 33 kills and 42 digs in addition to recording a .124 attack percentage. Morehead State (22-7, 13-4 OVC) totaled 46 kills and 40 digs while registering an attack percentage of .235 for the match. TSU posted 10 team blocks while MSU only posted four.

Candace Saleaumua led the Tigers with 10 kills in addition to 10 digs for a double-double while Terakka Walker (11) and Christian Lowe (10) also recorded double figures in digs for TSU. Yamari Padilla-Collazo dished out 25 assists and a team-high four blocks for the match.

Ashley Doscher led MSU with 12 kills while Kristina Schoo tied with Terakka Walker for the match lead in digs with 11.

MSU hit .481 in the first set and recorded 14 kills in the 25-13 win. TSU only managed a hitting percentage of .100 in the set. The Tigers would play the Eagles much closer in the next two sets.

Neither team turned in an impressive hitting percentage in the second set as TSU recorded a -.053 and MSU tallied a .060. Despite that, the frame was a fiercely contested battle. With the score tied 23-23, an Eagle kill along with a Tiger attack error gave MSU the slight 25-23 win.

TSU hit a match-best .379 in the third set but it wasn't enough. The Tigers tallied 14 kills in the set but the Eagles posted 19. With the score knotted 24-24 late in the set, a Morehead put away coupled with another crucial TSU attack error pushed MSU to the extra points win.

The Tigers will return to their home court to close out the regular season with matches against Eastern Illinois on Friday and Southeast Missouri on Saturday (Senior Day).
