Volleyball Hosts Two OVC Matches This Weekend

Nashville, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State University volleyball team will host the final two home games of the regular season on Friday night and Saturday afternoon in Kean Hall. Seniors Christian Lowe and Candace Saleaumua will also be honored.

In the first contest of the weekend, Tennessee State (8-16, 6-10 OVC) will match-up against Eastern Illinois (4-23, 1-15 OVC) on Friday night at 7 p.m.


Eastern Illinois claimed the first meeting between the two teams 3-2 earlier this season and picked up its first conference win. The Panthers have not won an OVC match since the win over the Tigers.


On Saturday, Senior Day, the Tigers will face-off against the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri. Before the match begins, seniors Christian Lowe and Candace Saleaumua will be honored.


Tennessee State dropped a 3-0 decision to Southeast Missouri in the first meeting of the season. SEMO currently holds an OVC record of 10-6 (12-12).


Senior Day will kick-off at 2 p.m. in Kean Hall.
