NASHVILLE---The Tennessee State University Volleyball team will host a "Meet & Greet" on Monday, August 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Hall of the Floyd Payne Campus Center. The public is invited to meet the 2007 members of the volleyball team. The Lady Tigers have three starters among four letter winners returning from the 2006 season. Among the returnees is senior outside hitter Kelly Davis. Davis, a Farrell, PA, native, was named to the 2007 OVC Pre-Season First Team. In addition to the returning players the Lady Tigers will welcome seven newcomers. Tennessee State is coming off its second best season in program history last year with a 20-14 overall record and 12-4 league mark. The Lady Tigers will open up the season at the Auburn Tournament this weekend with contests against Nicholls State, Troy University, and Auburn. The first home game is slated for Tuesday, September 11, against Alabama A&M.
