THREE LADY TIGER NETTERS RECEIVE ALL-OVC HONORS

NASHVILLE---In a poll voted by the league's head coaches and sports information directors, seniors Meesha Jackson, Tiana Maua, and Erika Godbolt were named to the 2006 All-Ohio Valley Conference teams. Meesha Jackson (Dry Fork, Va.) received All-OVC first team accolades for the first time this year. She leads the league in hitting percentage (.371) and blocks (1.32 bpg) while also ranking the top ten in kills (3.39 kpg) and points (4.15 ppg). Jackson has posted 22 double-digit kill performances and has recorded 10 or more blocks twice this season. This year marks the second consecutive year that Tiana Maua (Spokane, Wa.) has been named to the All-OVC second team. Maua leads the league in service aces and is ranked nationally (27th) with 0.57 service aces per game. Maua leads the team in set assists and is the overall career leader at TSU in set assists. Erika Godbolt (Omaha, Ne.) was selected to the All-OVC second team for the first time this season. Goldbolt is second on the squad in digs (3.62) and third in kills (2.68). Godbolt has tallied double-figure kills in 16 contests and has recorded 14 double-doubles on the season. The Lady Tigers will begin tournament play Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Jacksonville.
