VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS MOREHEAD, GAINS SOLE POSSESSION OF SECOND PLACE

NASHVILLE---Tennessee State volleyball has moved into second place in the Ohio Valley Conference race with tonight's sweep of Morehead State, 32-30, 30-25, 30-25. With the win the Lady Tigers improve to 18-12 overall and 10-3 in the OVC while Morehead falls to 19-10 overall and 9-4 in the OVC. The Lady Tiger offense was led by senior Erika Godbolt as she collected her 12th double-double of the season with 13 kills and 10 digs. Katie Lippi tallied 16 digs while Tiana Maua dished out 35 assists and three service aces. Tennessee State hit .235 for the match while Morehead only managed .134. TSU will have little time to rest as the Lady Tigers return to Kean Hall tomorrow to face EKU in the final home game of the season. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
