NASHVILLE---The Tennessee State University volleyball team handed Alabama State another loss sweeping the Lady Hornets 3-0 (30-12, 30-17, 30,12) on Tuesday night in the Gentry Center. With the win TSU improves to 8-8 (1-1) on the season while Alabama State falls to 0-11. The Lady Tigers put on a dominating offensive performance hitting at a staggering .500 for the match, with .739 in game three. Tennessee State had 19 service aces for the contest, with six of them coming from Erika Godbolt. Collese Dornan led TSU with nine kills while Erika Godbolt added eight kills and seven digs. Mariana Rezende had 21 set assists for Tennessee State as Tiana Maua chipped in 11. The Lady Tigers return to action on Friday, September 29th, in Kean Hall when they take on the Skyhawks of UT-Martin.
