Nacogdoches, Texas--- Meesha Jackson, a 6-4 native of Dry Fork, Virginia earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Stephen F. Austin Tournament in Nacogdoches, Texas last weekend, marking her second consecutive all-tournament honor in 2006 (All-Tournament Team, Clemson Tournament). The Lady Tigers went 2-2 at the Stephen F. Austin Tournament, defeating Arkansas State, 3-2 (20-30, 17-30, 30-22, 30-24, 15-10), and Houston, 3-2 ( 20-30, 30-27, 23-30, 30-28, 15-23), and falling to Baylor, 3-0 (30-25, 30-19, 30-21) and Stephen F. Austin, 3-1 (30-25, 27-30, 30-15, 30-16). Playing in all 17 games, Jackson had 46 kills for the tournament, producing double-digit kill efforts in all four contests. Jackson posted 11 kills in the five game win over Houston before putting down 10 kills against the host team Stephen F. Austin. In the Lady Tiger win against Arkansas State, Jackson gave a double-double performance with 13 kills and 10 block assists. Against Big-12 opponent Baylor she hit .750, collecting 12 kills on 16 attempts. The Lady Tigers will travel to Normal, Alabama on Tuesday (9/12/06) to take on Alabama A&M.
