LADY TIGER KATRELLE ARWMOOD RECEIVES SECONDOVC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State senior volleyball player Katrelle Armwood has received her second weekly honor this season from the Ohio Valley Conference, being tabbed as the OVC Defensive Player of the Week. A four-year player in the program, Armwood has played a key role in the Lady Tigers 9-1 conference start and already what is the team's best season in school history. A 5-8 libero/outside hitter from Durham, N.C., Arwmood had 62 digs in the Lady Tigers' two 3-0 victories over Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State. In the showdown against EKU, Armwood had 46 digs in the sweep. She averaged 10.17 digs per game. Armwood and Kelley Smith are the Lady Tigers who have been honored by the OVC thus far this season. Smith was earlier named as the OVC Offensive Player of the Week.
