CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee State extended its Ohio Valley Conference winning streak to six matches with a 3-1 road victory over Austin Peay in the Dunn Center. The victory was another landmark in what is already a record-breaking season for the TSU program. The win was TSU's first-ever over APSU in 39 tries. The first victory for the Lady Tigers over the Lady Govs was hard-fought. TSU won 32-30, 30-28, 17-30, and 30-23. The win, TSU's seventh straight overall, pushes the team record to 14-8 and 6-1. APSU falls to 6-12 and 3-4. TSU had three players post double-double efforts in the win. Kelly Davis had 15 kills and 16 digs. Erika Godbolt had 12 kills and 17 digs. Kara Keifer had 10 kills and led TSU with 28 digs. In the fourth game, Godbolt recorded a kill when TSU was trailing 7-5 and then went to the service line and the Lady Tigers reeled off seven straight points to gain control of the match. TSU plays at Tennessee Tech on Thursday with a special start time of 4 p.m.
