MURRAY, Ky. --- Tennessee State rolled to its third straight Ohio Valley Conference victory with a 3-0 sweep over host Murray State, Tuesday night in Racer Arena. The Lady Tigers had a hitting percentage of .301 in pushing their overall record to 11-8 and 3-1 within conference play. The Lady Tigers defeated MSU (2-9, 0-4) 30-16, 30-21, and 30-26. Kelly Smith had an outstanding offensive night for TSU with 13 kills out of 19 attacks for a hitting percentage of .579. Kelly Davis added 11 kills and Meesha Jackson had eight kills and a .467 hitting percentage. Setter Tiana Maua had 41 assists and added eight kills. Erika Godbolt had 18 digs while Katrelle Armwood added 15. Murray State was limited to a .098 hitting percentage. TSU will have its OVC home openers this weekend. The Lady Tigers host Samford, Friday at 7 p.m., and Jacksonville State, Saturday at 2 p.m. Both matches will be held in Kean Hall.
