Saturday, November 8, 2003
The Tennessee State volleyball team (7-22, 1-12 OVC) was looking to add another W to its win column as it headed to Murray, Ky. to take on the Lady Racers (13-11, 7-7 OVC). The Lady Tigers picked up their first Ohio Valley Conference win of the season from a Murray State forfeit announced Friday. Instead, Murray State evened this season's series at one each with its 3-0 win over Tennessee State. The Lady Tigers were led by senior Jennifer Corral (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) who notched two service aces, nine kills and 14 kills while sophomore Catherine Armwood (Durham, N.C.) added 17 digs to TSU's defensive effort. Tennessee State returns to action on Saturday as it takes on Tennessee-Martin on the road. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
