LADY TIGERS FALL TO TECH IN OVC VOLLEYBALL
NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State Lady Tigers dropped a three-game decision to visiting Tennessee Tech in Ohio Valley Conference volleyball play Sunday afternoon. TSU fell to the Golden Eagles 30-14, 30-25, and 30-19. The Lady Tigers fell behind early in game one, but came back in game two to be in position to win the game before Tech pulled away down the stretch for the win. In the final game, the Golden Eagles again built an early lead in completing the three-game sweep. Tech had a .404 hitting percentage in the game. Maggie Stern led the way with 15 kills. Nancy Meyer had 25 set assists while Liz Engel had 17 in the Golden Eagles offensive scheme. Jennifer Corral led the Lady Tigers with 13 kills and 11 digs. TSU had a .099 hitting percentage. TSU hosts Morris Brown Tuesday at 6 p.m. Tech is off until a Nov. 8 match with Eastern Illinois.
