LADY TIGERS WIN FIRST VOLLEYBALL MATCH IN NEW LIPSCOMB FACILITY

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State Lady Tigers won the first-ever volleyball match played in Lipscomb's Allen Arena, defeating the host Lady Bisons by a 3-1 score Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers won the match 30-19, 20-30, 30-27, and 30-25. The win improves TSU to 6-6 on the season with its sixth win in the last seven matches. Lipcomb falls to 2-7 overall after its first match in the new arena. Jennifer Corral had 18 kills, half of TSU's total, and finished with a hitting percentage of .306 for the match. Catrina Hewlett had 11 digs to pace the TSU defense. TSU will now turn its attention to three matches in Atlanta this weekend. The Lady Tigers will play Morris Brown and Savannah State, Friday afternoon and then face Clark-Atlanta Saturday at noon.
