Samantha Buckner

Samantha Buckner joined the Tennessee State University softball coaching staff in 2010. As an assistant coach with the Tiger program, Buckner will work primarily with the infield as well as perform other duties as assigned by head coach Jeff Dabney.

Buckner came to Tennessee State after serving as an assistant coach for Southeast Missouri for two years. During her time at SEMO, she assisted with the infield and administrative duties such as travel and academics.

Prior to Southeast Missouri, Buckner was an assistant coach for the Clearwater Bullets a summer team in Florida. As an assistant coach with Clearwater Bullets, Buckner worked with the infield and catchers. She also called pitches as well as coached first and third base.

Buckner has also worked with a number of camps including the Univ. of Arkansas Summer Camp (2004-09), Southeast Missouri Hitting Camp (2010) and the Southeast Missouri Pitching Camp (2010).

A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Buckner played four years with the Razorbacks. A native of Mesquite, Texas, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2008. She was named to the SEC Honor  roll list for 2007-08.
