As a Freshman: Hanawahine started 41 games and played in 46 games… hit a home run in first collegiate at bat versus South Alabama in the opening game of the season (2/8)… registered first double and first multi-hit game versus Indiana State (2/17)… hit solo-dingers versus Maryland-Eastern Shore (3/2) and in game one against Morehead State (3/30)… the three long balls were tied for the best on the team… had 10 hits in 106 at bats (.094)
At Kailua HS: Hanawahine competed for four seasons at Kailua High School under head coach Tamara Al Kaluau. As a junior, she was honored as a member of the All-State team, as well as the All-East Red Division Team for her play at shortstop. She claimed a spot on the All-East Red Division Team as a first baseman during her sophomore season.
As a member of the honor roll each year at KHS, she intends to major in Kinesiology with the aspirations to work in Physical Therapy.
