TSU closes out the 2019 season with an Ohio Valley Conference double header against Morehead State. The Tigers are 5-14 at Tiger Field this season, which is the highest total since winning six games at home in 2016. The Big Blue has been officially eliminated from OVC postseason play after dropping a pair of games at Eastern Illinois on Sunday. The Tigers had kept their hopes alive with a sweep at SIUE on Friday before traveling to Charleston. TSU is looking to this weekend as an opportunity gain its highest conference finish since 2010.

Raven Loveless tossed her second shutout of the season holding SIUE to four hits in a 6-0 victory. The first-year finished the week by going 2-2 with a 2.07 ERA and walking just three batters in 24.0 innings of work. On the week, Loveless converted on nine assists, increasing her OVC lead for pitchers with 62 on the season. Patton Akers picked a pair of hits at No. 9 Tennessee to start the week and finished by going 7-of-17 in six games for a .412 batting average. Akers collected hits in five of the six games, including a base knock in each of the two games at UT. The junior followed with a pair of 2-for-4 and an RBI contests during the Tigers sweep at SIUE. Akers picked up her final hit in game two at Eastern Illinois.
