TSU returns home for a seven game home stand beginning with a double header against the Maine Black Bears. The stand also begins a stretch for the Big Blue which consists of 17 of the next 23 games are at the friendly confines of Tiger Field.

Tennessee State is back in action for the first time since finishing 3-1 at the HBCU Classic nine days ago in Acworth, Ga. The Tigers opened the weekend with a 4-1 win over Alabama State, before falling by the same score to Prairie View A&M. TSU bounced back on day two with wins over Savannah State and Delaware State. Raven Loveless was named Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week after posting a 3-0 record on the week and a 1.75 ERA. The freshman worked 20.0 innings, striking out 14 batters opposed to three walks. Loveless fanned four batters in four innings in a non-decision effort against Appalachian State and struck out a season high six batters versus Savannah State. Megan Huppee was equally impressive at the plate hammering a home run in three of her four starts on the week. The junior hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning against Appalachian State, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI against the Mountaineers. Huppee went 2-for-3 with a solo home run against Savannah State, ahead of completing the week by going 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and just missing a grand slam as the Delaware State centerfielder reached over the fence to steal the blast, making her settle for a sacrifice fly.
