NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State softball program will be conducting a pair of camps to open the new year. The Futures Program is being offered by Head coach Tom Opdenbrouw and his staff on Saturday, Jan. 23 and is open to athletes from grades 7-12.
The one day camp is set to run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be held at the TSU softball facility and the fully turfed TSU Indoor Athletic Ficility. Coach Opdenbrouw will be joined by his staff which includes first-year coaches Nicole Fougerousse and Paige Neely.
The campers will work on the proper fundamentals for hitting, fielding, and throwing. The goal of the Futures Camp is to help improve each athlete in overall performance and provide tips on the recruiting process.
TSU softball will hold a D-I Prep Pitching & Catching Camp on Sunday, Jan. 24 and is open to athletes from grades 7-12. Fougerousse will take lead in instructing during the one day camp.
